Music & Potlucks and Two Way Street Coffee House partner to raise funds for West Suburban Community Pantry
DOWNERS GROVE IL - The second annual Two Way Street Coffee House concert to support the West Suburban Community Pantry presented by Music & Potlucks, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, took place on December 29, 2023.
The event took place at the First United Congregational Church of Downers Grove, 1047 Curtiss Avenue and featured performances by Ashley & Simpson of Downers Grove, Patty Peace of Chicago, C.T. Thieme from Grayslake and Mark Dvorak from Brookfield.
On Friday, January 19 Music & Potlucks delivered over 150 pounds of non-perishable food items to the West Suburban Community Pantry and turned over a check $1,200,
The West Suburban Community Pantry is located at 6809 Hobson Valley Drive in Woodridge. Since 1992 the West Suburban Community Pantry has been breaking down barriers to food assistance and implementing new services to best help members of the community and helping families and individuals in DuPage and Will Counties receive the nutrition they need.
“Bringing our communities together to support our neighbors in need is at the core of our mission,” said Music & Potlucks co-director Stephanie Schrodt of River Forest (pictured second from left).
Since 2017, Music & Potlucks has presented over 150 live and live stream events supporting agencies such as Beyond Hunger Food Pantry, Oak Park IL, Housing Forward, Chicago IL, Helping Hand, Countryside IL, Share Food, Share Love Pantry, Brookfield IL and dozens of others.
